After written consent had been obtained, an appointment for a home visit was made. Trained interviewers visited the home and distributed questionnaire packets to each family member. Parents and the two children completed a set of questionnaires designed to tap a variety of psychological, social and emotional characteristics including close relationships, problem behaviour, and personality.
