Students should be trained for a growth potential to deal with the more complex problems of the coming generation. Geology and its applications are becoming more complex - not simpler. 3. Technical advances require the quantitative approach. The artful approarh only cannot meet contemporary demands. Although, today's student commonly has strong preparatory courses in mathematics, most geology courses ignore its application.
